Driftline Rally
★★★★☆ 4.1
Driftline Rally leans into the arcade fantasy hard. You're sliding around hairpin turns on neon-lit mountain passes, and the game rewards bold cornering over careful braking. Tilt steering is the default and it works better than I expected, though there's a touch option for anyone who gets carsick on the bus.
Progression is straightforward: win races, unlock cars, tune them a little. Nothing revolutionary, but the sense of speed is real and the soundtrack is genuinely good. A few tracks blur together, but the standouts had me replaying them for a better time.
It's not a deep racing sim and it doesn't pretend to be. As a quick adrenaline hit that looks great on a bright screen, it does the job.
